How PHW Bern provides 150 instructors with consistent portraits

PHW Bern has standardized all 150 portraits with betterPortrait. New instructors go through the digital onboarding process: this way, in addition to the portrait, the instructor profile for the website is also organized.

PHW Bern (Private Hochschule Wirtschaft) is a renowned business school with around 150 employees and instructors. It offers practical education and training in the areas of business and management.

Challenge

The previous onboarding process was manual and error-prone. Instructors had to submit an existing portrait via email and fill out a PDF form with additional information. This resulted in many missing images and the existing ones being completely inconsistent – an unprofessional appearance on the website.

Outcome

In a first step, the usable existing portraits were standardized with our post-processing. The remaining instructors who did not have a good enough portrait received an individual upload link. This allowed all images to be organized within a few weeks.

New instructors go directly through the digital onboarding process from betterPortrait: they receive an individual upload link and can conveniently submit their portrait. This is checked for quality features before uploading, so it can definitely be professionally edited.

In addition to the portrait, other data such as LinkedIn profile or latest publications are also collected – so the marketing team no longer has any manual effort when filling out the profile for the website.
