The Psychiatric Services of Grisons (PDGR) are the largest psychiatric service provider in the Canton of Grisons. With over 1,300 employees at multiple locations, they provide comprehensive psychiatric care.

Challenge

All portraits were taken by an external photographer, retouched, and manually transferred to various systems. With 320 new images per year, this process consumed enormous time and resources.

Outcome

In a first step, betterPortrait standardized 1,160 existing images in just a few days and automatically integrated them into the website. This made the portraits visibly more consistent and the appearance more professional.

Since mid-2025, the entire process has been automated: the master data of new employees is automatically transmitted to betterPortrait daily. From there, they receive a personal link to our web app one month before their start date. A video-based photo guide helps them create their employee photo, which is then directly converted into a studio-quality portrait in PDGR branding. The edited images are finally automatically synchronized with SharePoint and the ERP system, from where they are distributed to the website and other systems.
